Computers Available on Campus

If you do not have access to a personal computer, NCCU provides several options to help you complete your coursework and stay connected.

Open-Use Computer Labs

Information Technology Services (ITS) maintains open-use computer labs for currently enrolled NCCU students. Windows PCs and Mac computers are available on the first and second floors of the James E. Shepard Library.

Laptop Loan Program

ITS and the James E. Shepard Library offer several laptop loan options to meet your needs:

  • Library Laptop Checkout – Borrow a laptop for up to 4 hours for use inside the library. An Eagle ID Card is required, and laptops may not be taken outside the library.
  • Semester Chromebook Loan – Eligible students may borrow a Chromebook for an entire semester.
  • Semester Laptop Rental – Laptops are available to rent for a small fee for up to one semester.

Residential Hall Computer Labs

Computer labs are also available in each residence hall, giving students convenient access to computers without leaving their housing community.
