Canvas Frequent Issues and Resolutions
As students, faculty and staff familiarize themselves to NCCU's Learning Management System, Canvas, they may encounter some errors that can be frustrating. Here are the most frequent issues and their resolutions:
- Incorrect Sign in Username:
- Don't use your student email to login on the Canvas portal, student@eagles.nccu.edu.
- All users should log in using the format username@AD.nccu.edu (the login format is displayed as a reminder).
- Password Issues
- Browser Saved Passwords
- While saved browser passwords can save time, they can lead to frustration if changes occur without updating the browser. Ensure you have the correct password by logging into other systems like https://myeol.nccu.edu (do not let the browser auto-fill the password).
- Expired or Forgotten Passwords
- If you having password issues due to forgetting it or expiration, you can reset it without needing to call the helpdesk.
- Visit https://nccu.edu/password
- Enter your full NCCU email address
- Answer the captcha characters
- Select Forgot Password
- Choose your authentication method
- Verify the authentication method
- Create and confirm a new password
- Browser Issues & Clearing the Cache and Cookies
- Browsers can become sluggish and ecounter errors. It's a good practice to clear your cache if your Canvas page doesn't load correctly or after resetting your password. Follow the links below for instructions on clearing cache and cookies based on your browser type:
