Windows 10 to Windows 11 Upgrade Guide: Step-by-Step Instructions for NCCU Devices

This article walks NCCU users through upgrading their campus-issued computers from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

How to Upgrade Your Computer from Windows 10 to Windows 11

1. Open Software Center

   • Click the search bar at the bottom left corner of your screen.

   • Type “software center” and select it from the search results.
     
     

2. Find the Upgrade Option

   • When the Software Center opens, look for the menu on the left and select “Operating Systems.”

   • Click on “Windows upgrade: Windows 10 to Windows 11 24H2.”
     

3. Start the Upgrade

   • Click the “Install” button.
     
     

   • A box will appear, asking you to verify your choice. Click “Install” again to confirm.
     
     

4. Wait for the Upgrade to Complete

   • The computer will begin the upgrade. This can take some time.
     
     

   • Your computer may restart multiple times during the process.

5. Finish

   • Once the upgrade is complete, you’ll see the lock screen with the clock displayed at the top center.
