AD Account Request

In an effort to streamline the AD Account Request process, NCCU ITS has created a new Active Directory Account Request Form. This form is available on NCCU’s implementation of SharePoint. It can be accessed via this link https://eaglepoint.nccu.edu/Pages/ADRequest.aspx. Please have a current faculty/staff member fill out this form to request initial access to NCCU Computers & Services.

The Active Directory account is the university’s typical method of granting user access to our secured file servers and networked printers. Access and use is limited to purposes that are consistent with the instructional, research, and administrative goals of the University. This type of account is available to faculty and staff members, and student workers (requested by their supervisor only).

Users are expected to uphold the standards and principles of the University while using the IT Resources and are required to respect the rights of others at all times.

Applicant Responsibilities:

  • All applicable provisions of the University Code of Conduct, employee handbooks and agreements, student handbooks and other policies and procedures established by the undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools of the University.
  • Respecting and protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all University IT Resources;
  • The applicant shall protect the resource, including any passwords, keys, or credentials used to access the resource, and any confidential, sensitive, or controlled data associated with the resource.
  • The applicant shall not or use the account, password, key, or other credentials of another user.
  • The applicant shall not share passwords with anyone, including co-workers, family members, friends, acquaintances or even University technical support staff. All passwords are to be treated as sensitive, confidential information.
  • The applicant shall follow all university policies and standards regarding the use of access granted to the resource.
  • The applicant shall report any suspicious behavior to the steward and to the Information Security Division at security@nccu.edu or via a help desk ticket.
