Password Management - Setup Password Reset

Self-service Password Reset is a Microsoft-featured tool that will allow enrolled users to reset their own passwords. Once registered with password reset, staff, faculty, and students will be able to reset their password or unlock their account anytime without having to contact ITS! To take advantage, make sure that you register for Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) to enable the feature.

NOTE: Before you can use the SSPR tool, you must set up password reset prior(register). If you are unable to login to myEOL contact the Eagle Technical Assistance Center (ITS helpdesk) at 919-530-7676 for assistance with resetting password.

 

Steps to Setup Password Reset

  1. Visit https://myeol.nccu.edu and login
  2. Locate the Help Icon (?)
  3. From the drop down menu, click "Setup Password Reset"

  1. At the Sign in prompt, enter your NCCU email address and click "Next".

  1. You will be redirected to the organization sign in page.

  1. When prompted, enter your current password and click “Sign in”.

         7. Next you will be prompted to keep your account secure. Click "Next".

 

         8. The following prompt will show you where the app can be installed based on the type of phone you have (Ex. Android or Apple IOS). Once the app is installed come back to this screen and click "Next".

     9. You will then be prompted to "set up your account in app". After doing so click "Next" on the screen.

  

10.You will be given a QR Code to scan from within the Microsoft Authenticator app and then click "Next" after which will give you a code to enter on your phone. 


 

11. After entering the Validation code in the Microsoft Authenticator app you will be directed to a "Security Info" webpage confirming you are now setup to reset your own password in the future.
