How to Remove a Saved Wi-Fi Network (SSID) from Your Device

If you're having trouble connecting to the NCCU Wi-Fi network, removing (or "forgetting") the saved network and reconnecting can often resolve the issue. Select your device below, then follow the steps to remove the saved Wi-Fi network.

Windows 11

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar.
  2. Select the > (Manage Wi-Fi connections) arrow.
  3. Find the Wi-Fi network (SSID) you want to remove.
  4. Right-click the network and select Forget.

Or:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Network & internet > Wi-Fi.
  3. Select Manage known networks.
  4. Find the network and click Forget.

Windows 10

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
  3. Click Manage known networks.
  4. Select the network.
  5. Click Forget.

macOS

  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Select Wi-Fi.
  3. Click Advanced or Known Networks (depending on your macOS version).
  4. Find the network.
  5. Click the ... or Remove button next to the network and confirm.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap the next to the network.
  4. Tap Forget This Network.
  5. Confirm.

Android

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Network & Internet or Connections > Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap the saved network.
  4. Select Forget or Forget Network.

After Removing the Network

  1. Turn Wi-Fi off and back on (optional but recommended).
  2. Select the NCCU Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
  3. Enter your NCCU credentials if prompted.
  4. Accept any security certificates or prompts, if applicable.
