Option 1:
1. Open Outlook 2016.
2. Select File from menu.
3. Select Open & Export
4. Select Open Outlook Data File
5. For this example, the MS Outlook exported email file is located on the computer’s Desktop. The file name is backup 6-25-2016 and the file Type is Outlook Data File. Highlight your Outlook Data File and click OK.
6. PST file successfully Imported at left side panel preview file structure called outlook data file.
7. Select folder from left side pane to view emails.
Note: Please allow up to 5 minutes or longer (for larger data files) to populate emails into Exchange folder.
Option 2:
1. Open Outlook 2016.
2. Select File from menu.
3. Select Open & Export.
4. Select Import/Export.
5. Select Import from another program or file and click Next.
6. Select Outlook Data File (.pst) and click Next.
7. Browse to locate Outlook email data file to import.
8. For this example, the MS Outlook exported email file is located on the computer’s Desktop. The file name is backup 6-25-2016 and the file Type is Outlook Data File. Highlight your Outlook Data File and click OK.
9. Select Replace duplicates with items imported and click Next.
10. Select Import items into the same folder in. Make sure Include subfolders is checked and click Finish.
11. Your PST file was successfully Imported at the left side panel preview under your email address name. In this example, during the Export procedure, Canon folder was selected and exported as an Outlook data file name backup 6-25-2019. During the Import procedure, the data file backup 6-25-2019 restored the Canon folder in Outlook. Your folder/subfolder will reflect the name of the original folder exported.
12. Select folder from left side pane to view emails.
Note: Please allow up to 5 minutes or longer (for larger data files) to populate emails into Exchange folder.
