Cyber Security Awareness Month Events and Information

October Calendar of Events 2023

As we observe Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM), we want to remind you of the importance of staying vigilant about cybersecurity threats that can impact our university community. Protecting our personal information, research data, and institutional resources is a shared responsibility, and we encourage everyone to play an active role in safeguarding our digital assets.

NCCU's Information Technology Security is honored to be a champion and sponsor of Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM). This annual initiative, backed by the Department of Homeland Security and National Cyber Security Alliance, provides individuals with the resources to enhance their online safety and security.

Celebrating its 20th year, Cyber Security Awareness Month has chosen the theme for 2023: "See Yourself in Cyber." Whether you're an individual or a consumer, taking basic steps to safeguard your online information and privacy is essential.

NCSAM aims to equip every American with the tools to proactively enhance their cybersecurity at home and in the workplace, strengthening the nation's resilience against cyber threats. To support this effort, NCCU's cyber champions have developed a CSAM calendar of events to share resources and ensure online safety for all.

NCCU's ITS Security team will be sharing weekly event updates on myEOL. Make sure to set aside some time to take part in these events. Below are a few highlights that might be of particular interest to you:
