Cisco Jabber for Android is a collaboration application that provides presence, instant messaging (IM), voice, voice messaging, and video calling capabilities on Android phone devices. Escalate your Jabber calls into multi-party conferencing with Cisco WebEx Meetings

Device Requirements

Cisco Jabber for Android Release 9.6 is supported on the following devices and Android OS combinations officially. (Refer to Release notes for more details and any potential updates):

  • Samsung Galaxy S2 (Android OS 4.1.2 or above)
  • Samsung Galaxy S3 (Android OS 4.1.2 or above)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Android OS 4.1.2 or above)
  • Samsung Galaxy S4 (Android OS 4.1.2 or above)
  • Google Nexus 5 (Android OS 4.4)
  • Sony Xperia Z1 (Android OS 4.1.2 or above)
  • Sony Xperia ZR/A (Android OS 4.1.2 or above)

 Request Access

To use Cisco Jabber on your iPhone or iPod, request an account by submitting a request through Help Desk.

Download the App

Setup

1. After installing the App, tap the Cisco Jabber icon and Accept the End User License Agreement

2. Scroll from right to left on the next 2 screens and tap Get Started Now

3. On the Cisco Jabber screen, enter you NCCU username followed by @nccu.edu and tap Continue

4. Enter your NCCU password and tap Sign In

***If you are presented with Certificate Not Valid, tap Continue

Cisco Jabber is now ready to use on your Android device

To view the Quick Start Video, Quick Start Guide or the User Guide tap  to view the navigation menu.

Tap Settings and scroll to Help > User Guides
