Installing Cisco Jabber From Software Center

Software Installation

Installing Cisco Jabber from Software Center is easy!  Follow these simple steps to get started.

Note:  You must be on campus, connected to the NCCU network for the steps in this Knowledge Base article to work.  Please ensure that you are on campus and connected before attempting to install Cisco Jabber using the steps below.

 

On your Windows search bar, type in Software Center.  Once it shows up in your list above, click on Software Center.

 

From the list of software that appears, click on Cisco Jabber.

 

Next, click Install.

 

The software will begin installing on your computer. Once it says Installed, the installation is complete.  You may now close Software Center.

 

From your Start menu, select Cisco Jabber.

 

Type in your NCCU email address for the username (username@NCCU.EDU) and then click Continue.

 

You may encounter a popup message that states the certificate for Jabber is not valid.  This is a typical issue.  You may have to click Accept several times to get past this message.

 

Lastly, type in your on-prem password, and click Sign In. (On-prem password is the password you use to sign into your computer when you sign on, not your myEOL password, in case they are different.)
