Connecting to the New Wi-Fi Network "EAGLE-SOAR"
The purpose of this guide is to help you connect your Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android device to the new NCCU Wi-Fi network, "EAGLE-SOAR". You will use your existing NCCU Active Directory (AD) credentials to connect.
Important message for STUDENTS:
If you are unable to sign in with your credentials, please login to a lab computer or EagleApps at the following link: https://eagleapps.nccu.edu/portal/webclient/#/home
If your credentials continue to not work, you will need to contact ETAC at (919) 530-7676.

Important Notes:
- When you are prompted to accept a security certificate during the connection process. Click "Accept" or "Trust" to proceed. This valid certificate ensures a secure connection to the campus network.
- NCCU ITS (Information Technology Services) recommends keeping your devices' operating systems up to date for optimal performance and security.
Connecting to EAGLE-SOAR with Windows:
- Open the Wi-Fi settings on your Windows device. This can usually be found by clicking on the network icon in the system tray or searching for "Wi-Fi settings" in the Start menu.
- Select "EAGLE-SOAR" SSID from the list of available networks.
- When prompted for credentials, enter your NCCU AD credentials in the following
format:
o Option 1: Username only (if applicable) - Enter your NCCU username (e.g., jsmith123).
o Option 2: AD domain and username (if required) - Enter "your username>" (e.g., AD\jsmith123).
- Enter your NCCU AD password.
- Click "Connect" or “OK.”
Connecting to EAGLE-SOAR with macOS:
- Open the Wi-Fi settings on your device.
- Select "EAGLE-SOAR" from the list of available networks.
- When prompted for credentials, enter your NCCU AD credentials using the same method as Windows (username only or AD\username and password).
For MacOS devices you will need to use the following username format: ad\jsmith123 or jsmith123@ad.nccu.edu.
- Click "Connect" or "Join" or “OK.”
MacOS, iOS, and Android Certificate Prompt:
- When you are prompted to accept a security certificate during the connection process. Click "Accept" or "Trust" to proceed. This valid certificate ensures a secure connection to the campus network. The certificate will be issued by nccu-nac.nccu.edu
To install the certificate, you may need to update the settings/permissions (Admin rights will be required).
