Banner 9 Faculty/Advisor Self-Service is an online portal designed to simplify the management of tasks related to students, courses, and academic records.

Accessing Faculty/Advisor Self-Service 

To access Faculty/Advisor Self-Service: 

  1. Log in to myEOL
  2. Navigate to the Administrative & Academic Services section. 
  3. Click on Banner 9
  4. Select Faculty/Advisor Self-Service

Below is a screenshot preview of how the Faculty/Advisor SSB9 interface will look for faculty or advisor users.

The portal allows faculty to easily enter grades, track attendance, address registration issues, and review student progress while maintaining the security of sensitive information and providing quick access to essential tools.

Here’s a list of key Faculty and Advisor links available on the portal:

FACULTY LINKS

  1. Search for Student – This feature provides access to various student records, including Student Bio, General Information, Academic Transcript, Application to Graduate, and more. Available options may vary depending on your role and access level.
    • Click Search for Student – You’ll find this under either Faculty Links or Advisor Links, depending on your role.
    • Enter the required fields:
      • Term
      • Student ID (820#) or Student Name
    • Click Submit
    • When the student's name and 820# appear in the results, click on the student’s name or ID to open their profile.
    • In the student’s profile:
      • On the left side (under the gray student headshot), click View Student Academic Transcript
    • Use the dropdown menus to select:
      • Transcript Level (e.g., Undergraduate, Graduate)
      • Transcript Type – choose Unofficial
    • Click Submit to view the transcript.
  2. Grade Entry - Provides a platform for faculty to enter and manage final grades for their students.
  3. Track Attendance - Enables faculty to track and record student attendance in their courses.
  4. Registration Overrides – Facilitates the process of overriding registration restrictions for students, allowing them to enroll in courses.
  5. Registration History – Displays a student’s registration history, providing details on courses previously enrolled in.
  6. Student Week at a Glance – Offers a snapshot of the student's schedule for the week, including academic and extracurricular events.
  7. Faculty Detail Schedule – Provides a detailed view of the faculty member's personal schedule, including class times, class lists, office hours, and meetings.
  8. Syllabus Information – Displays detailed information regarding the faculty member’s course syllabus, including course objectives and requirements.
  9. Office Hours – Shows the faculty members’ office hours scheduled for student consultations and meetings.
  10. Faculty & Advisor Security – Manages security settings and permissions for both faculty and advisors, ensuring proper access control to academic data.
  11. Faculty Feedback - Provides faculty with the ability to review and manage feedback collected from students regarding courses.
  12. Faculty Feedback Administration - Allows faculty to administratively manage feedback collection, distribution, and analysis for their courses.

  6. Faculty Feedback - Enables advisors to view and manage student feedback about faculty members and courses.
  7. Faculty Feedback Administration - Provides administrative tools for managing and overseeing the collection and review of faculty feedback .
